A recognized veteran in the audio industry and leading speaker design engineer, Clayton has spanned the decades from 1975 to the present, developing and presenting new concepts and balancing technology with natural music playback.

Auralux Seattle brings together all the knowledge from manufacturing, design, acoustic development and electronics across 50 years of experience. Clayton is perhaps best known for his pioneering work in the development of dipole, open-baffle speakers. He founded several noteworthy companies, including Emerald Physics, Spatial Audio Lab and Clayton Shaw Acoustic Lab.

He brings his experience and unique understanding of the science of sound reproduction to a retail setting, where he can advise clients of the most effective way to build a music playback system. This allows a unique experience, free from sales pressure and incoherent marketing noise. We created a low stress, comfortable environment so that you can experience great products how they should be.

A primary focus is the client’s listening room. Clayton can measure and evaluate the room’s acoustic layout possibilities in order to optimize system performance. Installation and responsive customer service are top priorities.
