Auralux exists to correct a long-standing imbalance in high-end audio.

For decades, most hi-fi retail has been driven not by acoustic truth, but by convention—by familiar brands, inherited assumptions, and technologies that persist largely because they are commercially convenient. The result is an industry that offers abundance without clarity, choice without position, and products without a guiding philosophy.

Auralux was founded to be different.

After more than 45 years as a loudspeaker design engineer, I have arrived at a simple conclusion: a proper loudspeaker must reproduce music as a coherent, physical event in space, not as a collection of disjointed sounds emanating from a box. When judged by that standard, conventional box loudspeakers—dependent on pistonic cones, stored energy, enclosure resonance, and complex corrective crossovers—are fundamentally compromised.

Planar magnetic and electrostatic loudspeakers are not new ideas. What is new is that their historic limitations—restricted dynamics, bandwidth constraints, inefficiency, and fragility—have finally been solved by Dipyque and Popori through modern materials, motor structures, and precision manufacturing. With these advances, panel loudspeakers have reached a level of performance that renders the traditional box-and-cone approach largely obsolete.

Auralux therefore makes a deliberate choice: we offer only planar magnetic and electrostatic loudspeakers.

Not because they are fashionable, but because they are correct.

These technologies operate with vastly reduced moving mass, uniform drive across the radiating surface, minimal energy storage, and freedom from enclosure-induced coloration. The result is sound that is faster, more transparent, more spatially coherent, and more faithful to the original musical event—qualities that, once experienced, are difficult to unhear.

This focus is our mission. We are not a general-interest audio store. We do not attempt to represent every approach, every brand, or every price point. We curate with intent, guided by engineering principles, and subjective listening rather than marketing narratives.

Auralux exists for listeners who are no longer interested in incremental change, cosmetic frills, or recycled ideas—but who seek a fundamentally more truthful way of reproducing music.

That is our position.

That is our purpose.

Music can provide a transformative experience for body, mind and soul. We offer specially curated audio instruments to access the deepest emotional connection possible.
